SKILL ASSESSMENT

ACS is the authorised assessing authority that undertakes skill assessments for the purposes of skilled migration. Our role is to assess the skills and qualifications of ICT professionals who are considering migration to Australia to work in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. .

 A Skills Assessment is an important part of the professional occupations recognition process when migrating to Australia. It will determine if you have the skills and knowledge required to work in your occupation in Australia. At VETASSESS, we assess more than 360 professional occupations. 

Engineers Australia is authorised by the Australian government’s Department of Home Affairs to assess the qualifications, skills and experience of engineering professionals for migration purposes. Each year they assess the skills of thousands of overseas engineering professionals to help them move forward with their migration goals.

It is Aurhorised assessing authority to Registered nurse – if you do not hold registration in Australia but have a minimum Bachelor of Nursing qualification from Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, the United Kingdom or the United States and hold registration as a registered nurse in that same country you qualify for a Full skills assessment.   

Registered midwife – if you do not hold registration in Australia but have a minimum Bachelor of Midwifery qualification from Ireland, United Kingdom or United States and hold registration as a registered midwife you qualify for a Full skills assessment. 

Enrolled nurse –  you do not qualify for a Full skills assessment

It is authorised assessing authoriy for Medical Laboratory Scientist (ANZSCO 234611) Specialisation: IVF Embryologists are normally employed in clinical In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) laboratories. IVF embryologists are responsible for performing diagnostic procedures as well as performing therapeutic procedures such as retrieving and freezing eggs, assisting with IVF, assessing and monitoring embryo development as well various andrology procedures including conducting and interpreting tests on semen samples. They apply reproductive biology knowledge and methodology to assist clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infertility, and may undertake research as part of their role. 

 A Trade Skills Assessment is an important part of the trade recognition process when migrating to Australia. It will determine if you have the skills and knowledge required to work in your occupation in Australia.
