Recognition of Prior Learning

We at Steadfast Services assist individuals to obtain the qualification they deserve by assessing their work experience.

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is a form of assessment that recognizes skills and knowledge gained through:

  • formal training conducted by industry or education
  • work experience
  • life experience

The main principle of RPL focuses on the outcomes rather than how, when or where the learning occurred. It gives you credit for skills and knowledge acquired at work and at home, or through clubs, hobbies and other activities.

For example, if you are a hospitality or business studies student who has previously worked in that field, you’ll already know some of the content of the course. RPL is a way of gaining credit for this learning, which may reduce the amount of time you spend studying.

RPL gives them the opportunity to get formal qualifications based on their work experience. We have links with number of Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) in throughout Australia. We refer you to them and they will assess your qualification and provide further training if necessary.

Our RPL services are mainly focusses on following areas.

  • Child care
  • Hospitality
  • Building and Construction
  • Butchery
  • Hair Dressing AND many more…

If you are considering applying for RPL, you will already have a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate that you have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills.

These may include:

  • your resume
  • certified copies of certificates of completed courses and qualifications
  • awards
  • references from employers outlining your responsibilities (originals, not copies)
  • letters from clients
  • evaluations from supervisors
  • job descriptions

However, we at STEADFAST SKILLED MIGRATION SERVICES can assist you in any case. Contact us for a consultation. There is no charge for RPL consultations initially
